El día 18 de Junio comenzó el Fin de Semana del Arte de Beetsterzwagg 2015 , una pequeña villa al norte de Holanda, con una única calle principal, la Hoofdstraat, donde se reparten a su largo y ancho hermosos jardines y casa históricas de la nobleza de los siglos XVII Y XVIII. 

El motivo de este curioso "Fin de Semana del Arte" viene dado por el famoso concierto anual de música clásica que se realiza en los jardines del Hotel Bildelberg, al cual acuden de toda Holanda, como si del concierto vienés del primer día del año se tratara. Debido a esto, los habitantes de la villa idearon este festival cultural, donde se hacen jornadas de puertas abiertas en las casas privadas, así como en galerías, restaurantes, etc, albergando obras de artistas de la zona y de otros lugares del país.

Este año tuve la suerte de ser la primera invitada extranjera, lo cual no sólo ha sido un honor, sino también un regalo...nunca había estado en un pueblito tan pequeño, y quizás por eso precisamente, tan unido. Fué un placer descubrir cómo el arte y la música mancomunaban a esta gran familia que forman todos sus habitantes, siempre con una sonrisa dispuestos a ayudarse...un atisbo de esperanza en este mundo loco, loco, loco...

y gracias especialmente a Caroline Houthuyse por invitarme al art weekend, la primera vez en el sur de Suiza en el 2012, aunque en aquella ocasión sólo pudo ser con audiovisuales...Esta vez ha sido un placer participar y conocernos por fin :)

Y cómo no... a Luts y su familia y amigos Por su generosidad, siempre echándonos una mano y con quienes compartimos muchas risas y cariños...mi familia Friesland!

June 18  was the opening of Weekend Art Beetsterzwagg 2015, a small village north of Holland, with a single main street, the Hoofdstraat, which is spread throughout the beautiful gardens and historic houses of the nobility the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries.

The reason for this curious "Art Weekend" is given by the famous annual classical music concert  held in the gardens of the Hotel Bilderberg, which come from all over the Netherlands, as if the Viennese concert New Year's Day It is involved. Because of this, the villagers agreed to organize this cultural festival, where open houses house is done, bind to turn the galleries, restaurants, etc, place, housing works of artists the area and elsewhere in the country.

 This year I was fortunate to give an exotic touch being the first foreign guest, which was not only an honor but also a gift ... I had never been in such a small town, and perhaps that is precisely why so united. It was a pleasure to discover how art and music representing the common to this great family that are all its inhabitants, always with a smile ready to help ... a glimmer of hope in this crazy, crazy, crazy world ...

And special thanks to Caroline Houthuyse for inviting me to the Artweekend, the first time in southern Switzerland in 2012, (could only be with audiovisual ... but this time it was a pleasure to participate and finally know each other :) )

And of courseee  THANKS to Luts for her generosity and her inconditional love for arts, and her friends and family members, who were always throwing us a hand and with whom we share many laughs and affection ... my family Friesland!

Desde ayer 17 Mayo hasta el 12 de Julio, estarán las aguas canarias compartiendo espacio con los mares del norte y mucho más, en la Galerie Van Harinxma, con los compañeros de exposición: Bert Dalmolen, Corry van Hoorn, Tineke Welling, Maja van Berkestijn, Yulia Muravyeva, Ger Kuijlenburg, Denise Visser, Fransje Versloot, Age Bakker y Minne Onnes. 
Gracias a todo el equipo por la acogida y en especial a Caroline Houthuyse por su apoyo en todo momento!!

Sobre "5 Creadoras en Busca de Aldecoa" / About "5 Creators searching for Aldecoa"

Inaugurado en el mes del Día del Libro, el Cabildo de Lanzarote apostó por un proyecto que acerca las disciplinas plástica y literaria, basándose en la obra del escritor Ignacio Aldecoa, residente en las islas brevemente, pero no por ello menos importante, ya que dejó un bello testigo literario de sus tierras, aguas y costumbres, las cuales intentamos devolver a la actualidad con "5 Creadoras en Busca de Aldecoa".

Opened in the month of World Book Day, the Island Council of Lanzarote opted for a project about art and literary disciplines, based on the work of the writer Ignacio Aldecoa, resident briefly in the islands, but no less important since left a beautiful literary witness of their lands, waters and customs, which we try to give back to the present with a "5 Creators in Search of Aldecoa".

Nos fueron facilitadas varias obras, entre ellas Cuaderno de Godo, publicado en 1961 y Parte de una historia, publicada en 1967 (en la que he basado los cinco cuadros presentados, y las ilustraciones) y desde Julio del 2014 que supimos del proyecto hasta ahora, hemos hecho un viaje al pasado, donde el entorno de antaño se mezcla con las imágenes del contexto actual, formando así un ensamblaje curioso como mínimo. Con la ayuda de Pepe Betancor y Zebensuí Rodríguez, en charlas al aire libre con la isla frente a nosotros, nos empapamos de sus textos y su forma de sentirnos.

A nivel literario me sorprendió cómo utiliza los verbos y adjetivos, descontextualizándolos de su ámbito original, para "casarlos" de una forma tan suave y fluida, llegando uno a olvidar para qué marcos fueron creados sino para éstos, que definen situaciones tan ajenas, desarrollando así una especie de efecto "haiku", espacios breves donde, a un golpe de frase, se mastica el polvo iluminado por una "cuña de sol".

At a literary level, i was surprised by how he used verbs and adjectives, decontextualizing from its original context, to "marry them" so gently and smoothly, that even we might  forget for what this words were created but for them, that define so alien situations, developing well sort of effect "haiku" short spaces where, in a stroke of phrase, is chewed the  dust illuminated by a "wedge sun" 

Lo segundo, el contexto de la novela...enmarcada en los paisajes y costumbres de la isla de La Graciosa, Edén perdido que a pesar de los tiempos actuales, ruidosos, tecnológicos, apretados ....nos sigue alejando de la realidad cotidiana en una especie de Triángulo de Las Bermudas de la memoria, amnesia reseteadora de células, esa huida "Aldecoana" de silenciosa mirada, perdida en la pantalla de cine del Risco de Famara, donde las sombras de las nubes parecen protagonistas de una película muda ralentizada. 
Esa es su "Graciosa", y esa sigue siendo la nuestra.

Secondly, the context of the novel ... framed landscapes and customs of the island of La Graciosa, lost Eden that despite the current, noisy, technological, tight times .... it still away from everyday reality in a kind of "Bermuda Triangle of Memory", amnesia resetting the cells, that "Aldecoan" way of getaway, silent gaze, lost in the movie screen of Risco de Famara, where the shadows of the clouds seem a silent film actors slowed .

Específicamente, en mi obra (abajo), sus aguas son como los lugareños de más edad, escenarios impertérritos que observan pasar las pequeñas y efímeras historias humanas.

El enfoque de eternidad, donde las diferentes épocas conviven en un mismo mar, se desarrolla en la obra con un efecto "pulp covers" (ilustraciones para las portadas literarias de los años 50-60') mezclado con el realismo sencillo de los bañistas actuales, donde por un momento las épocas se funden y somos testigos, como el mar eterno, de tiempos e historias ajenas y lejanas.

Specifically, in my work (down), its waters are as locals older, undaunted scenarios that observe the small and ephemeral human stories passing by.

The focus of eternity, where different eras coexist in the same sea, develops in the work with an effect "Pulp Covers" (illustrations for literary covers of the 50's-60's) mixed with the simple realism of current swimmers where for a moment eras merge and witness, as the eternal sea, times and stories and far beyond.
